RUBICON 6 is a floor standing speaker that features two 6½ inch woofers. The RUBICON 6 is able to deliver more physical bass to fill a larger room, especially thanks to the woofers. The woofers perfectly team up to move a lot more air and reach even lower into the deep bass area. The driver construction of the RUBICON 6 makes it even more powerful than its smaller siblings with an enhanced and controlled performance.
RUBICON 6 is a floor standing speaker that features two 6½ inch woofers, each sporting its own bass port, gold-plated bi-wiring terminals and our innovative ribbon/soft dome hybrid tweeter module. The RUBICON 6 is able to deliver more physical bass to fill a larger room, especially thanks to the woofers. The two woofers work together to move much more air, delivering more powerful bass and pumping out audio excellence that fills the room. The driver construction of the RUBICON 6 makes it even more powerful than its smaller siblings with an enhanced and controlled performance.
All variants in the series feature the DALI SMC magnet system which reduces distortion as never heard before. Part of the “secret” is the individually coated magnetic granules that make it possible to mould a strong magnet that’s not electrically conductive.
In the RUBICON 2, DALI makes use of both the soft dome tweeter working alone, and the hybrid tweeter configuration an amazing rendering of the high frequencies. The voice coil used in the RUBICON 2 is designed to be very light and agile in order to achieve a broader bandwidth. This lighter voice coil is placed inside a powerful ferrite magnet that keeps a tight control of its movements.
The ribbon tweeter is the master of wide dispersion and combining it with the soft dome, the tweeter module starts working as low as 2.5 KHz. This extreme bandwidth combined with the ultra wide dispersion is an important part of the DALI sound philosophy.
The cone used in the RUBICON 2 draws upon the heritage from the EPICON technologies, and has a light, rigid and randomly uneven structure. This lower the complexity of the central part of the motor, ensures even piston like movements, reduces the possibility of surface resonance greatly and creates an extremely low distortion within the RUBICON 2.
The soft low-loss rubber surround is designed and bespoke specifically for the RUBICON 2, and all of the components are situated in an aluminum chassis designed for maximum airflow around the cone and magnet system.
Small but perfectly formed, the RUBICON 2 stand speaker may be the baby of the bunch, but delivering richly defined detail and big bass response, its sound belies its size. Except for the exclusions below, Dali warrants that it will repair or, at its option, replace Dali products as specified below where such Dali product is defective by reason of faulty workmanship or materials, free of charge for parts and labour as follows.
